We hear of all these teams wanting to sell but they are worthless at the moment. Who would want to buy right now and for how much?

I'll buy the canes, for $19.95, Canadian dollars too! As long as it includes a free beating of Peter Karmanos, Gary Bettman and Bob Goodenow...

I truly believe that all franchise values have plummeted. These owners that paid huge expansion fees may never recoup their money and might just want to get out of it. I think of Florida, Atlanta, Nashville

I thought Anaheim was sold recently, if not then I agree. I guess the only successful expansion team (off ice) in the last 10 years is the Wild. Ottawa with their new owner, he sure got a sweet deal for them, but they have been good on the ice. They have good scouts, unfortunately the previous owner didn't help.

I believe that Columbus is quite the successful expansion team as well. COlumbus sells out almost every night. Yet people bash Columbus for some reason... Columbus has some of the strongest fan support though. While they have not yet been successful on the ice, they always have been off the ice.
