Wow, I can't think how bitter sweet that would be.
If a Canadian team does in fact relocate to Winnipeg, would that pretty much defeat the whole purpose of wanting the Jets to return?
When I think of one of the big goal of having the NHL come back to Winnipeg I think of wanting to increase the number of Canadian teams.
I'm not saying it will happen, but I wouldn't be happy at all if a Canadian team moved to Winnipeg. It would sorta make the campaign pointless.
I'm not saying that if this were to happen I would boo the Jets off the ice. I'd love to see the Jets back in the league regardless of the circumstances.
I just want to know how you people, especially Manitobans, would feel if this were to happen.

No offense, but that was absolutely ridiculous.
The Oilers might move around the year 2015, because their arena (built in 1974) will have definitely showed its age by then and will be unable to compete with the newer NHL facilities and their revenue-generating luxury suites, etc. built in the last decade or so.
Of course, if a new CBA doesn't solve a lot of problems the CDN teams are having, many Canadian teams may fold- or relocate to the United States. I know of at least 3 arenas in the U.S. that are NHL-ready and without NHL teams.

Yah it will never happend. Lol.
It wouldnt evem make sence for a cnd team to relocate to another cnd city
Jason, your wrong, because they have renavated, there arena, so they have all the stuff other arenas have. 16839 seats also, will KEEP EM IN SHAPE.

BTW, I dont think ANY Canadian teams will fold or move for a long, long time. The NHL has realized where the true hockey finds are and I think, especially with the CDN $ rising, the league will do whatever to cater the CBA to Canadian teams.

That'll never happen. The NHL will never relocate another Canadian franchise again. They will move the U.S. franchise first. Mainly because that country could care less about hockey. But also, because the Canadian franchise are among the strongest franchises in the NHL.

No A canadien team cannot relocate to Winnipeg that would not be right. There is currently 6 NHL teams in Canada and that # needs to grow not stay the same or decrease. Winnipeg needs to have one of the southern franchises move. I dont want to see Pittsburgh because Mario Lemiuex and Jaromir Jagr are legends in that town and too see that team fall would just not be right. Teams like Florida, Atlanta, Nashville, Tampa Bay those teams should be in the running for relocation.
