Eighteen years ago today (April 10, 1990), the most famous goal in Winnipeg Jets history was scored at 1:20 of the Second Overtime Period by Dave Ellett to give the Winnipeg Jets a 3-1 series lead over the Edmonton Oilers. Then the roof caved in on the series. About a week after it did at the Arena after Ellett scored. That was the loudest I ever heard that building.

That was the single most amazing goal... although as I type this I recall:
Brian Mullen's overtime winner against Calgary in 1984-85 (game three I think!) Selanne's 54th vs Quebec The night Anders Hedberg scored his 53rd goal in 50 games Bobby Hull's 1000th career goal Norm MacIver's LAST GOAL ever...
There were a few, but yeah, I would agree the most famous, and ultimately most unfulfilled moment.
WORST goal... Mark Lamb, (or was it Jari Kurri?), to make game 6 4-3, in the same series, on Stephane Beauregard.
Or Greg Adams running over Essensa in game 6 to win it in overtime, NO REPLAY!!!!!!!

Just watched this clip on youtube and had tears in my eyes. My parents sent me to bed because it was too late (how mean! ) but dad came in and told me Ellett had scored because I was still awake.
