Since I don't live in Winnipeg and have first-hand access to very localized news updates, I was not fully aware of exactly how long it has been since this has been in full swing. So please forgive me for being late in posting this update. As you guys know, the very highly-regarded former home to the original Winnipeg Jets is in the early stages of demolition. Despite its usefulness as being obselete to today's entertainment venue standards, it is a place that will forever be remembered in the hearts of Winnipeggers and Jets fans everywhere. In addition to checking out Darren's December 30th news entry that discusses this very subject (very well done and enjoy the pictures!), I have decided to leave a few news hyperlinks for you and add any in the future when appropriate. If you have suggested additions you'd like me to post here, send me a PM. Everyone please feel free to talk about the absolute end of Winnipeg Arena in its physical form, but more importantly provide your thoughts on all the memories you either experienced first hand or cherished from afar. Anyone just watch CBC News' Saturday Report during the Hockey Day In Canada coverage?
There was a nice feature about this very subject... the demolition of Winnipeg Arena. Among those interviewed, including a father and daughter watching the process from across the street. Great story where the father had said he had his first date with his wife at a Jets game. That's awesome!

As someone from outside the peg, can you folks keep posting demo pics from the arena teardown?
