Marc Behrend! If it wern't for John Fergeson this kid could have been something. Was playing a butterfly style before Patrick Roy, and fergie tried to convert him to stand up.

essensa was the best. what really killed him was mikael smith. he went into contract neg's and they beat him down. he was one of the players that should of got what he was asking for. it was all downhill after that. i think the media had a lot to do with it too.........

Why was Ed Staniowski called "Saturday Night" Staniowski? He got drunk before the game?

Essensa was great. He never got any respect. Later in his career, he bailed out a few teams (Vancouver???), yet never got the respect he deserved.
Mike O'neil played, what, one game? I remember him playing on Hockey Night in Canada, playing incredible and then going down with an injury and never playing again. He could have been great.
Khabby was the best goaltender in Jet's history.

Essensa was the only Jets superstar to be given the shaft so many times, that you wonder if there was bad blood between GM Mike Smith and Goalie Bob. It's really bad, when you think of how Smith bent over backwards for a whiner like Tkachuk...
Khabby may have been the best goalie ever to put on a Jets jersey, but he wasn't the best goalie in the Jets history. He only played just over one season. How could that make him the best goalie in the Jets history, when Essensa was almost as good, but played with the Jets for 6 straight seasons?
Comparison with Jets:
Wins:
Essensa: 116 Khabby : 34
Games:
Essensa: 281 Khabby : 79
Shutouts:
Essensa: 14 Khabby : 2
Saves:
Essensa: 15 671 Khabby : 4 253
Saving %:
Essensa: 0.894 Khabby : 0.904
Goals Against Average:
Essensa: 3.38 Khabby : 3.22
