After reading some of those articles, i see that Tim Campbell is credited for writing many of them... Someone who now, is a naysayers. (well he is not on board with the campaign anyway).
He must have loved the Jets when they were hear, how can we spark that flame in Tim Campbell again?
anyone have his e-mail?

....he wants the Jets back. He is just being very careful in what he says simply because he isn't completely sold on the idea working yet. A gentle nudge will be all it will take. Perhaps if I sent him my wifes cookies before X-mas?

Tim Campbell and CJOB's negative position on the Jets return begs an interesting question: Are the media in Winnipeg against this idea because they don't want to appear that they are severing ties with the Moose? Think about it: CJOB was the driving force behind Operation Grassroots in 1995. They would certainly be the front-runner in obtaining the Jets broadcast rights. Tim Campbell was a correspondant for the Hockey News (he still is, but for the AHL). His profile in the sports journalism world would be increased if he was an NHL beat writer again. It seems they would have nothing to gain if the Jets were to come back. My theory is that they're against it, because they don't want to pi$$ off the Moose organization and be given the cold shoulder in terms of privileged access to the team. I'm not going so far as to suggest that True North would do anything to overtly shut out CJOB or Campbell, but its easy to make life harder for a reporter with a 9 PM deadline if he can't get a quote from a player until 8:59. Just my conspiracy theory for the day. PS: The same thing applies as to why the Toronto media (Al Strachan, Mike Brophy, Stephen Brunt) are so biased towards the players. If they suggest the owners are right, they might not get invited to anymore NHLPA golf tournaments!
