DID YOU KNOW.....The Winnipeg Jets are alive and well and playing in Southern California. More specifically the Valencia Ice Station in Santa Clarita - about 40 miles north of Los Angeles. - where former Winnipegger S. Marshall Paterson coaches a 13-man roseter in a Division III amateur league made up of players from all over North America. Complete with home-and-away Jets uniforms made by the original supplier. "With the NHL on strike and the Winnipeg Arena being torn down, " Marshall wrote, "it really is kind of special that 2,500 miles away a group of hockey players pay their respects to a team that never should have left."
