Mine would have to be the memorable Canada Cup series in 87'. That had to be Ducky's finest moments, as he was only outshadowed by Lemieux and Gretzky...

For me it was his 130 point season, it just seemed that when we needed a big goal, he would either get it or make the play

mine would be when he was playing with buffalo and he flipped the puck in the air from behind the net and skated around and batted it in out of the air..........

In my opinion Hawerchuk COULD have at least scored 150 points in 84-85 dont get me wrong his linemates were good..Maclean got 101 points but could have gotten around 120 and Brian Mullen could scored more if he didn't miss and be around 110 points..

Three things stand out above all others.
1) 1987 Canada Cup.
2) 1984-85 season (130 point season).
3) Hall of Fame selection in 2001.
Just one more thing needs to be added to that.
The retiring of his jersey #10 when the Jets return.

I have to go with the winner in Game 3 because dispite how horribly Smith and Murdoch treated him all year, Dale proved why he was the man when it mattered most. Funny how the two guys Smith wanted gone the most delivered for the team whenever called upon yet Smith's houseboys, (Ellinyk, Ashton, Beauregard, et all,) never did a thing. Those two being Ducky and Davey.
What might have been had Fergie stayed and Smith never shown up...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- .one night my dad and i went to a sabre /isles game at the colliseum, and ducky scored off the faceoff.as soon as the puck was dropped he ripped it right in.that was the first time i ever saw anyone do that.even my unimpressible old man raised his eyebrows. this is from an old post but its my favorite ducky moment.

Duckys 130 point performance is the most memorable for me. By the way how did hawechuck get the name ducky?
