I seem to understand his point though. Even though he puts on this 'tough exterior', it may be a cause of someone being too proud to admit they simply cannot afford Jets tickets as the real reason for his animosity towards the new team. You can arguably say the same thing for the reason a Jets historian like Curtis Walker may be against the Jets returning to the NHL. It's a lot easier to admit that you are against a new Winnipeg NHL team, than to admit you just do not have the finances to go to the games. As strange as it may seem, there are a lot of people out there who are Moose fans and are upset about their favourite team leaving. There is no need to smear them. No smearing intended. I just cannot understand how someone can be so negative about nearly everything related to the Jets. Why put down Jets fans and the city itself? There is still affordable hockey to be seen here. Besides, writers like Scott Taylor gets roasted almost daily here..

for the people who are complaining about not being able to afford games to see the Jets, well, the Bisons have a pretty good team and they play in a pretty good league. Prices are dirt cheap, and they could use the support. the only thing you wont get is all the glitz and gimmicks that the Moose put on, and i KNOW you people only supported the Moose for the hockey right??

The Bisons and MJHL still offer entertaining hockey. What I do not understand is someone saying that they would rather drive down and support the UND hockey in Grand Forks. With gas and a hotel room, would that not work out to be more than a Jets game?

The wheat kings are better hockey than UND, it's supporting something local and is just the way to go!

I agree with the poster who said that if you want to go on a road trip, do it to Brandon instead. Shorter drive and no border staredown from some US Homeland Security guy who automatically thinks you're importing a ton of weed.

That or cross at the Gretna, or Walhalla border crossings. 9 times out of 10 i have trouble when crossing at Emerson. Gretna is very fast paced...they almost seem annoyed that you are crossing there haha
