I really hope TNSE throws a final sign off for the Moose. I was a season ticket holder for 8 years and even though it took me a long time to get over the Jets leaving, the Moose filled a big void until last Tuesday. The Calder Cup finals sent chills down my spine as it was the first time the MTS Centre felt home to a NHL club. It was rockin!
Good luck boys! See some of you when you get called up. I wonder which one of you get the first call?

I know what you mean. I was there for the Calder cup finals... it's going to be like that every game night now.

I am still haunted by 6 seconds in third OT.

It would be nice to see some of the Moose alumni from past years drop in too for a farewell of some kind. Burrows, Kesler, Schnieder, Edler, Hansen, Hodgson, Keane and/or Bieksa would be a solid, solid move my True North. It would also give us somewhat of an introductory taste of NHL-themed things to come in this city.

None of them will be called up because they'll be playing for Vancouver's new affiliate. The Moose will be stocked with more than half of the current Chicago Wolves. There are 11 current Moose players not owned by the Canucks, and 3 of them are owned by the Flames and Ducks (so they probably won't be staying).

I stopped following the NHL when the Jets left, and didn't support the IHL Moose at all; I attended the last ever game at the old Arena, and started following them from 2004 onwards (MTS Centre era). Bought several individual tickets starting in 2004, and started watching games online when I could; for the past three/four seasons, I had season passes to watch all Moose games online, and for the past two seasons held a mini-pack with Chris Mackie (WpgJets2008), which allowed us to buy into the pre-sale. Was slowly working up towards season tix, I think... Being a Moose fan undoubtedly had its privileges. That being said, I suspect I may follow our AHL affiliate more closely than I ever did in the Jets' days of old. Dunno how I'm gonna fit 82 NHL games and 76 AHL games into my viewing schedule, but I'm sure I'll work it out...! St. John's didn't deserve to lose their team in the first place; it was Toronto's decision to move the team to TO, where they can't put butts in the seats. Whatever happens, just one more time... Go Moose Go!
