If certain people do not support the team because of the name, that is thier choice! No need to call people idiots, childish, ect. I'd prefer the Winnipeg Jets, but if it's not, I'll still support the team. If there are people out there that won't support...oh well, so be it. I don't think they are childish, that's just thier mindset. (I'd hazzard to guess that it's a minority). Let them be heard! No harm being done by voicing thier opinions, just as the staunch "I'll support them even if they are called the Manitoba Buttercups" fans voice thier opinion. Seems some people pointing fingers, are also throwing tantrums. Well put Mike. No doubt about it, it's a minority of people who say they won't support the team if it's not named the Jets. I'm about as passionate as just about anyone about the name, but I've never said I won't support the team if it's not Jets, just that it would never the less be a disapointment to some extent. And yes, I'm biased because I want the name Jets, but I honestly do believe that it's the best business decision. I'm no expert but it really seems obvious to me... and although it's likely a small minority of people who wouldn't buy tickets based just on the name, I still don't see the point of taking that chance?

There are a lot of people that feel that way, and I so desperately want the JEts. One thing that the ppl need to know is that we will go to the first game of the "falcons" and you will hear go jets go. It will be a very long time before we adapt if they change the name. As for business, you can still make a lot of money with Jets. Changing the colours, logo etc. I don't want the colour changed, but why not add gold as lining? Gold eyes blue bombers, tie it in. THe branding is already there money can be used eslewhere. People will buy the new jerseys for sure, just keep our name.

I'm not going even to try to defend it anymore. I've done it over and over. If people choose to believe that we are selfish and ungrateful, that is their choice. It's incorrect, but they're entitled to their opinion.
