I thought the Jobing.com arena seating capacity was 17,125? In that case it would mean that game was 100.02% full, with 5 people in standing rooms.
That said, even then I'm sure a lot of tickets were not used. Last year I checked highlights and saw plenty of empty seats during the 2nd period.

The first game played in that arena was vs. the predators on December, 27th 2003. Attendance was 19,052.
But a sellout is 17,125? IDGI

The 97% may be right if they use the standing room only tix.
17.125 is sellout and 17.534 is a complete sellout with standing room.

I dont think the Jets sold out their last few years in Winnipeg. Nor should they. I wouldnt attend if my team was bolting for another town.
I would cut the Coyotes fans some slack here. I woulndt be driving 2 hours out of my way to see my team get their behinds handed to them, only to leave town in a matter of weeks.
They never should have left Winnipeg in the first place, but they screwed up that franchise every chance they got once they landed in Phoenix.

My wife and I and a couple of friends drove 2 hours from out of town to the whole last detroit series in winnipeg to watch the jets, knowing they were leaving. That what a hockey fan does.

If my organization is telling me, "Hey you fans can go eff yourselves, we are moving to Phoenix.", then I woulndt be giving that organization a dime.
