what is wrong with the hartford arena in the NHL's mind ? seems modern enough - Not enough luxury suites - Luxury suites are to far from the ice - Concourses to small - Not enough bathrooms - Not enough concessions - Ice machine is not up to NHL standards - Only 14,440 padded back-seats - And probably 100's more that are more behind the scene ie. the upgraded press box at the MTSC, etc.

Timely posting...I'm wearing my Hartford Whalers shirt today. Love the logo and jersey...simple design but awesome. Hope Hartford gets their team back. They were my second favorite team after the Jets. Have an Free Press sports section signed by the Whalers when they were in Winnipeg playing the Jets...was the game Bobby Hull's number was retired.

The layout for Hartford's current arena is preety bad especially in comparison to current arenas they'll need a new one for sure. But with the peg in front and QC 2nd in line Hartford will be waiting a while.

True and in all honesty the only way I see the Whalers returning is either the Islanders relocate to Hartford or Bettman is replaced by a commissioner who is willing to give Hartford another go. For one reason or another, whether it be because he's from NY or for some other reason Bettman genuinely resents the Whalers.

True story...it took me almost two decades before I realized there was an "H" in the Whalers logo.
I'd love to see the Whalers and Nordiques back in the NHL with Winnipeg.

I always liked Hartford, back in elementary school I chose them in NHL96 just as often as the Jets, I'm not sure why... must have been the logo I suppose.
