He's probably resigning because he's doing a terrible marketing job. People in phoenix don't even know they have a hockey team.. Or he just doesn't want to go to Winnipeg like all the other whiny coyotes personnel.

Why on earth did he take that job in the first place?

He didn't resign. People who resign have jobs to go to.
He was asked to resign. From what I understand he was well liked in the orginization. My opinion is as a courtesy he was given the chance to bail before things got completely off the rails ugly.

It's not necessarily that they don't know ... it's more like THEY DON'T FREAKIN' CARE ABOUT HOCKEY IN THE DESERT - THEY WOULD RATHER WATCH BASKETBALL, FOOTBALL, BASEBALL, BOWLING. OR CARS DRIVING AROUND IN CIRCLES... d'oh

No doubt the team is having issues, but that is largely due to mismanagement and a bad on ice product the past 7 years. NOT the Physical location of the team...

.....bad on ice product? They obviously don't know how to read the standings !

Hell sometime you have to go with the majority! The White Sox play their spring training games a stones throw from Glendale. My parents were at that game and my dad told me that he had to purchase tickets from StubHub or something because there were no tickets available. Anyone who watched the game on TV saw that the place was full of Chicagoans who were down there for baseball. Just sayin...
