Matrix - ça va?
Je suis très intéressant pour entendre que Bettman pourrait dire dans son émission de radio hebdomadaire à quatre heures (ET) cet après-midi.
Vous pouvez écouter vivants sur le site Internet.
Allez Jets! Allez Nordiques! Faites-le huit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Je ne commence pas de rumeur. Je n'ai pas d'informations.
Just to be clear - I am not starting a rumour - I don't have any information.

Matrix, est-ce qu'il est plus correct de dire <<Faisez-le huit>> Ou, <<Le Faisons huit>>?
English tr. - Matrix, is it more correct to say "Make it eight" [2 different variations in French].

hey swervinmervin123 ! Thank you for the information about Bettman There is no real translation for the "make it 8" "Faites-le huit" is better but it doesn't sound very good in french hehe I don't know what would be the best translation... You should keep it in english

"Make it 8" has a nice ring to it in English, with the rhyme!

didn't a report just come out stating the tv deals that are locked up with the Canadiens are interfering, and that the first oppertunity for NHL return to Quebec City would be 2012-2013, after the contract expires?

For what it's worth, my opinion is that some issues can be solved by money, and some issues can be solved by time. If the NHL needs another location for 2011, it may be possible to negotiate a settlement on TV rights issues, maybe. Or, worst case, the Quebec team may have to simply "lose out" on the TV rights issue for 1 year. Each party (QC, Mtl. and NHL) would have to assess whether or not that would work for them, and what the right price is in the circumstances.
I must say (to be honest) that I don't know anything about regional TV in Quebec. I'm just saying that some issues can be solved by money or by time, and that there is a cost-benefit analysis for almost any business issue.

whether the thrashers or coyotes, If Quebec approached the NHL and said were building a 17000+ areana in quebec, wouldn't it make sense for a organization that has revenue sharing to maximize the potential of a situation by choosing QC as the next city?, by all means I want Winnipeg to get a team first and think we deserve it, but Bettman does what he wants, i'm sure he lives by the rule "Money talks"i'm just worried that with every passing day Quebec gets one step closer, and we float, I trust our ownership team, but I want to throw out the unbiased opinion that Quebec MAY be the better option........but I hope it doesn't come down to this, i'm just frustrated another friday/another week goes by with minimum news.

I think winnipeg is more prepared right now.

I'm from Quebec (but I cheer for the habs, never been a fan of the Nords) and I do think that the Trashers will go to Quebec, but maybe not this year. I think you guys in Winnipeg deserve to have a team before Quebec because everything is ready in Winnipeg. I really enjoy coming here reading the board like a soap opera. Hope the Coyotes die and they come back to Canada! Welcome! Good to know there are many Quebecois here on this board... Anyway I do hope the Nords come back too EVENTUALLY (after the Peg) so Le Hab and the Nords can slug it out 6x a year minimum...

If it is Phoenix that moves to Winnipeg which it now looks like then they have to deal with Atlanta.
I'm sure Winnipeg was the original plan but with that out the window if they can't find local buyers the team is going to have to move somewhere wont it?

I have a question, lets say for shits and giggles that coyotes actually make it and win the cup, would that change anything.... ? (would they be saved?)

Anyways, someone who still is planning to buy them in that scenario is still a SUCKER! Cuz once they start sucking again, "fans" will abandon the Yotes and treat it like the Ancient Hebrews treated their lepers and tax collectors and they'll be back to square one! ;D
