Its hard to tell who the phoenix coyotes will play until the very last regular season game but ill do a prediction anyway, I think it could go either way but given that the coyotes have a 3-2 record with the Kings ill give this one to the Yotes, game seven. Not to mention the Kings lost their 2 top scorers, it doesn't look that good for right now. Of course it's the playoff and anything can happen, so really... who knows.

My PREDS will own them in Game 6 in SMASHVILLE! Go Preds!

They advance to the second round against anyone other than the Sharks. If it's the Sharks, they are out in five.

they could have a tough time if they meet chicago...but no patrick sharp for chi-town is a big loss......they could take l.a. with no kopitar....i still think the blackhawks have their number so i hope they meet the hawks

It would be pretty tough for them to meet the Hawks. Coyotes would have to maintain 4th, and have the Hawks pull ahead of LA while also leapfrogging Nashville and Anaheim. It could happen also if the Yotes caught the Sharks, and Chicago moved ahead of the Preds and Ducks. Neither scenario is likely.

No way they make it to the final, they might make 2nd round though

The coyotes might be able to get through the 2nd round especially if they play LA but after that I cant see them going much further, Detroit and Vancouver are preety strong and both will likely be in the 2nd round, Anaheim and Nashville are very hot right now as well.
Heres my for fun west bracket, using the current stanings
(1) Canucks vs (8) Blackhawks- Canucks in 6, the Canucks had to wait for the Hawks to lose Buff and Kane among others to finally be able to beat them but this should be the year it finally happens.
(2) Red Wings vs (7) Ducks-Ducks in 7, Ok im kind of biased lol but still the Ducks are one of the hottest teams in the league right now plus Corry Perry is currently the top scorer in the NHL, if Jonas Hiller can get back into form the Ducks might be able to mount an upset.
(3) Sharks vs 6 (Preds)-Preds in 6, the Sharks will continue to choke plus Nashville is on fire right now.
(4) Coyotes vs (5) Kings-tough say, could go to 7 but I think the Coyotes will come out on top, its a battle between 2 inexerienced and over rated teams.

^Hawks still have Kane, they lost Kris Versteeg though. But yeah without a lot of the guys they had last year i don't think the Hawks can pull it off.

I think Patrick Sharp is who he was thinking of, but Sharp is still a possibility for the playoffs. A Sharks match-up for the Yotes would end their season fairly early. Sharks have dominated them all year long. Whoever said the Preds would beat the Sharks in 6, I highly doubt that. You would see a matchup very similar to last years Avs/Sharks matchup. The Preds would hang in there on goaltending alone for 1-2 games but by games 3-4, the amount of shots they will have faced will be far too much for them. Sharks in 6 or 7 if they play the Preds.

Just because we're going crazy waiting for their season to end to get this mess over with, they'll win in seven...and take the second series the distance too.

If the Yotes play the Kings they'll advance to round 2.
anyone else and their done.... Van, Detroit, San Jose, Anaheim and Chicago are filled with play off experience.
Nashville vs Yotes could go either way.

They're is a good possibility they could fall way down in the standings. All they need is 1 point to mathematically guarantee a playoff spot, but if they loose against the Kings in their next game, they play the sharks for their last 2 games. They've been dominated by the Sharks all season and haven't gained a single point. Nashville has 3 games left as well and it's against Atlanta, Columbus, St Louis (all much lower in the standings). The Kings have the Ducks twice after Phoenix so provided they win against Phoenix, they are in better shape facing a team lower in the standings as well. So in my opinion it would seem that its way more plausible that Nashville and LA will finish ahead of Phoenix. This would most likely put them up against Detroit or San Jose. And I don't think they will make it by either.

I Suppose now we can actually do predictions, I say Detroit in 7 just like last year! If anybody is wondering Red Wings are 2-1-1 with the coyotes. Here are the regular season scores: Red Wings 2 Coyotes 1 - OT win Red Wings 2 Coyotes 4 - lost Red Wings 4 Coyotes 5 - SO lost Red Wings 3 Coyotes 2 - OT win

Phoenix will make round 2. How long since this franchise made it round 2? Almost 30 years?

There is nothing compelling that indicates a real possibility that Phoenix will make Round 2. Detroit would have to have a serious collapse, and realistically, that's not going to happen.
