Everybody on here with sources seems to think Atlanta is a done signed deal and just all waiting depending on the outcome of Phoenix.
I personally think Phoenix may be forced to move to Winnipeg. Do most people feel confident there will be NHL hockey in Winnipeg next season?

As long as Bettman is running this circus, no.

I think Atlanta might end up getting screwed because every day it looks more and more as if the Coyotes have no choice but to move to Winnipeg. Will the NHL take over ownership of the Thrash if the Yotes have to move back to the Peg? Or will the Atlanta owners swallow another year of losses? These interests from possible owners in Atlanta just seems to be smoke and mirrors to continue to buy more time

I want to be confident, but Bettman is desperate and that worries me.

So, if Atlanta was THAT screwed then I think yes Quebec City could be a backup shoe-in at very short notice. They could conjure up something with Quebecor/P.K. Peladeau to get it done. But Winnipeg is MUCH MUCH more prepared than them.

Sealed and delivered, just waiting for the go ahead on an announcement! I am so confident there will be a team here next season that if there isn't I'm seriously done with the NHL and Bettman.

Ok, pretty sensitive people around here...I just kinda figured that we have a whole pile of threads with pages and pages of everyone's "take". Anyhoo, no sweat, I'll put my hate aside for a second and say YES, I believe Winnipeg will have a team next year. 99%. Then again, 1% that we may not. I hope it's Phoenix, but if that's not meant to be, I'll happily take Atlanta or any other team. There's the Love.

I am so confident there will be a team here next season that if there isn't I'm seriously done with the NHL and Bettman. x2 Very confident. I will be shocked if we dont have a team next season. I will also be sure at this point (if we dont get a team) that the NHL has zero intention of ever returning to the Peg. I dont believe this to be true. I believe that there are 2 teams that need to move for next season and one place to go. Winnipeg. I believe that Chipman and the NHL want Winnipeg to end up with the Thrashers. Chipman because he wants a fresh start. Bettman because if Phoenix come here, then WTF are they going to do with Atlanta? I think its too late in the desert and its pretty much a done deal and were going to have OUR franchise back for next season! As for Atlanta, Id like to say QC but really...your guesses are as good as mine.
