Hi Guys,
Please don't shoot the messenger.
I have confirmed that someone that owns a suite at the MTS Centre has received a personal letter AND a phone call from True North regarding their interest in renewing their suite @ 3x current prices. They told him it was very unlikely for the 2011 season, but "possible" for 2012-2013.
This coincides with another VERY reliable source that told me True North had a deadline of Feb 28th to find out about the 2011 season. Apparently that deadline has come and gone.
Hopefully, the situation in Glendale has changed things. I REALLY REALLY WANT TO BE WRONG ON THIS.

I doubt this. TNSE almost grabbed a team in May last year so it is only March still time for the NHL for this Fall.

no reason to have a lame duck year in Glendale, nor is there any reason they can't be at MTS in the fall. This makes no sense on both fronts.

JHendrix70 you did say in a chat that in order for everything TNSE to get done everything they want before next season, according to your estimates, there needed to be an announcement in early March.

Well, there is nothing wrong posting what you hear however; if anything of this nature was sent out, it's fake or made up and the employee that did it would be terminated on the spot. Not only have I Checked with sources at TNSE, My family owns a suite and have obviously received nothing of it.

If true, tell the guy to scan the letter and post it here. Agreed. I won't say I believe or don't believe this, but if a letter was sent, it seems that could be verified pretty darn quickly. |
