Most Jets fans old enough to remember, or others who where there that night, may remember what event in Jets History happened 18 years ago today.
On March 2, 1993 Teemu Selanne scored three goals (numbers 52, 53, 54) during a 7-4 loss to the Quebec Nordiques to break Mike Bossy's rookie goal-scoring record. On his way to 76 goals and the Calder Trophy that season.

Was there, my tickets came from a surpise box I bought at the jets carnival, best 25 bucks I ever spent.

The only other time I remember it being that loud, prior to that game, was when Dave Ellett scored in 2OT against the Oilers.

Hi everybody this is my first post....I have been following for over a year now and am getting REALLY excited. Was at both the North Stars game where Teemu scored 4 and the record breaking game against the Nords. It was amazing (even though I was in the upper deck)! I just can't believe how many people were at the game...it seems like every Jet fan EVER was there....I thought the old barn only held about 15500 but there must have been 50-60 thousand according to all the stories...haha. Very similar to the double o.t. playoff game where Ellett scored the winner....that game must attracted 100000 plus!! GO JETS! Great job on the site. Its amazing.

I was at the game prior against the North Stars where he got 4 goals including his 50th. I do clearly remember listening to the game on CJOB when he broke the record. I still got news paper clippings from both the sun and FP.
