Maybe I just missed it, but I couldn't find a thread about this tournament on these boards.
I justed wanted to say after getting back from some victory drinks after the game; tonight's game was a lot of fun, and there was a great atmosphere in the building. The Americans showed a lot of class after the game. When each American player was called after the game to receive their 2nd place prize, they skating down the blue line to shake all the Canadian players hands.
It might be the booze talking, but after a game that had a lot of big hits and some dirty plays, it was cool to see the Americans show that type of class. A guy like Don Cherry would of been proud of that. It's like when two guys fight, and after the fight is over they shake hands. It's that type of thing that makes hockey so much better than other sports.

Haha throughout history the US has generally shown that they don't have much class, but the last few years that seems to be changing a little. Perhaps they are getting tired of being disliked in so many countries around the world and the new generations are trying to change their tune a little?
Take the World Junior's this year. After Canada beat the US, the US players were humbled, made no excuses and just said hats off to Canada basically. Sweden upped the ante and more than made up for any extra classiness from the US, swearing about the officials and retorting "that wouldn't have happened against Canada" after losing to the Russians!
So for tha reason, go US today and shut the mouths of the Swedes!
Then Canada will take care of Russia. GO CANADA GO!
