I just took a peek at the Thrashers website and it says if you bring in a "bad" xmas present you can swap it for a ticket to the game. Thrashers tickets, now thats the bad present.
Pathetic.

Who knows maybe they're giving the gifts to charity or something. Nevertheless that is a pretty sad promotion.

Good point and they probably are, I didnt think of that so perhaps ot isnt as bad as it seems, but still if an organization is basically giving away tickets its a bad sign...

I went on the Thrashers website and saw the full details. The gifts go to the Salvation Army.

I still think the Coyote's bottle of vodka promotion was classsic! We Win You Win was better! Missed that one? What was it? If they win a game and you were in attendance you won a ticket to next game?

We Win You Win was better! Missed that one? What was it? If they win a game and you were in attendance you won a ticket to next game? Yep. I could see if it was the Nets, who went 12-70 last season or even the Devils of the 80's, who in fact did have a promotion where when they won a game yould get a Victory Card and if you collected 4 in a year you would get Free Ticket(s) to another game but that's just sad.

Well I mean at least there is some charitable aspect to it but then again there asking people to give their worst presents to them and I'm not sure if there's any actual criteria, i.e I got a pack of socks can I give that and get a ticket? But again if a team is willing to give tickets away like this is speaks volumes of their state of affairs.
