Just looking for a general feeling from the members on what they think the meter should be at.

I say put our chances at 55%. From reading Darren's posts, it sounds like we've been waiting around under a misconception. True North is just waiting for a team, the same as we are. They have nothing 'in the works' so to speak, they just have the understanding that if the NHL ever gets desperate enough, they'd be willing to buy.

I say 85%... The meter grows every time we here good news... I should fall one step if we hear bad news...

That's one thing I never understood, what criteria is set out in which this "Jet-O-Meter" increases or decreases, how does one "measure" and transfer information into a quantitative number and expresses it in the meter? That said, Hobble, what is one step? I sure don't know.

Wherever Darren puts it is where it belongs.
Perspective: Don't forget, the Jet-O-Meter was created when many thought MTSC was too small to be considered by the NHL, and we never even had ownership group, let alone one backed by the likes of David Thomson! Those 2 things probably make up 99% of the equation (or 96% sounds fine to me.) The remaining 4% is the time and patience required. It'll happen.

It shouldn't change.
There is nothing different from the time it went to 96% to now. Everything is in place as it was then. All that changed is that we didn't get a chance to go to 100%.

So, then the last 4% would constitute what? An announcement that TNSE has a team?

I say stay at 96% unless it's publicly stated that Winnipeg is in talks to bring a team here.
