I don't understand which one is the new one?? I like the design that is on the sign at the site, which one is that? That's the design with the arches on an angle over the field. It looks awesome.

I dont know why,but the new one reminds me of Winnipeg's railway history.Maybe it's just cause I live in Transcona though lol.

I dunno, for some reason our money doesnt get us very much when it comes to sports facilities. i.e. 133 million for the MTSC which isnt nearly as big as this......

WTF....its not a full bowl anymore??
looks like our old one at the end....hate it. Just when I thought we might actually do this right.
edit due to "bowel" movement. I can always count on Hendrix to find my spelling errors first.

Ovi, maybe you could start a "Bowel Movement" and have them blow out this idea... And FYI: It IS a full lower Bowl. Only the upper's are on each side.

ANYWAY...was that always the plan Hendrix? or was this just in the new one due to less money?

It looks cool. I kind of liked the vantage point of having it on the waterfront in the old design. Docks and boat crusies around the games would have been something cool/different, but (pardon the pun) that ship has sailed so U of M will have to do.

If I was still going to the U of M Fort Garry campus, I'd be a little irritated by the massive increases in traffic on game nights. However, I'm starting school at the U of M Bannatyne campus in September, so it's all good

Besides, itd be for 8 nights a year tops!

I'll probably never get "bowl" tickets, being on an end sucks. I like this design though, I'll finally be shaded and protected from rain and snow (or hail!).

The seating area kinda looks like a mini Commonwealth Stadium, lower bowl with 2 upper decks. www.blueandgold.ca/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=6&Itemid=7And when u look at the roof,I think one would want to be higher in the lower bowl if it rains to be covererd. To me it fells les then the 80% of covered seats they are saying, cause when does rain ever fall straight down in the Peg-lol

i cant wait for this new stadium to be build its so close to my home lol I'm sure this isn't going to make any of the football fans on here like me, but I can't wait for the new stadium to be built for the exact opposite reason -- it means the Bombers and their fans will get the Go Jets Go out of my neighbourhood. Seriously, trying to drive, bike or walk anywhere in the direction of Polo Park (I live in the West End, where a LOT of fans park their cars and walk to avoid paying exorbitant lot fees) when there are thousands of idiots clogging up the streets is just infuriating. Get it the hell out of here.
