Give me a break. We have a team that will make a profit. Going to Glendale for a game isnt going to save the Coyotes. THat is our former franchise and I can understand the grudge when we wanted them back but not now.
I am trying to go. Planning a trip to Vegas that week with a day trip to Glendale for the game. Only problem is, my Coyote sales guy promised to call and never did.

I would go if I had the opportunity, that Franchise is done either way. It would be awesome to support our players like Leafs fans do in almost every city.

I think Mr Thomson and Mr Chipman paid enough this year to help prop up the Coyotes, why in the world would you pay any money to help support that franchise. Now if someone gave you free tickets then that's OK in my books, but bring your own beer and popcorn. Death to that franchise, a long, slow, painful, death, that the Glendale taxpayers will never forget.Pucken rights I hold a grudge!!! x2

So much anger from so many people. In a couple of years from now there will be hockey in Winnipeg and not in AZ. Between now and then who really gives a rip. We should all just be thanksful that we got Atlanta and not the Coyotes. I'm not even sure what grudge you're holding onto? Well If you can't figure out what grudge Winnipeg fans are holding on to, this tells me you were to young to know the real facts that went on here 16 years ago. Not just the politically correct responses to why the Jets left, but some of the real hard truces that some of us here really know. To make it simple for you, no matter how hard people tried to save this team 16 years ago, road block were going to keep falling in our way until Winnipeg gave up. All compliment of Gary B.

I really want to see the whole Coyotes franchise go up in flames... and resurrect like a phoenix in Quebec.

I had season tickets for the Jets 16 years ago so I think I'm old enough. You're email tells me that you're likely quite young and don't understand economics as there was no way based on the economy, ownership, cdn dollar that hockey was going to work in Winnipeg almost 2 decades ago. Things have changed here, times are better and everything now makes sense. Although I'm not a Bettman fan it sure as heck wasn't only his fault Winnipeg lost their team. Anybody old enough would know that. A 16 year old grudge...wow.

I held the grudge for years. Believe me I did. Given a choice, the only team I'd rather see play the Jets more are the Pens. This is an historic opportunity, likely the final home game in Coyotes history to see the new Jets play the old Jets.
The idea of "supporting" the Coyotes means nothing. You could fill Jobing with Jets fans and it wont stop the Yotes from posting massive losses this year, losses which are covered by the NHL, including the Jets. So a dollar in the Yotes pocket isn't really a dollar in their pocket so much as it's a dollar less from the pockets of the rest of the league, including the Jets.
As far as doing the trip cheap, my plan is to go to Vegas for the week and make the game a day trip. So aside from gas, I will likely not be contributing much to the GLendale economy. And as far as the tickets go, if I get Club Seats, I can assure you my buddy and I will eat far more than our allotment of included food, snacks and drinks... ;-)
I just spoke to the Coyotes sales guy, Justin, who informed me that tickets would be released in late Aug and he would call me, about a week in advance to give me the pricing and a heads up so I can be sure to secure seats. If Club seats are reasonable, I will go that route (still trying to budget out the entire trip so in my case, it is not a done deal).
Anyone else wants info, try contacting Justin:
Justin Brickner Business Development Executive Phoenix Coyotes / Jobing.Com Arena 623.772.3297 Office 623.872.2162 Fax Justin.Brickner@PhoenixCoyotes.Com
Tell him Andrew from Winnipeg said he's the man and perhaps he'll remember that when its time to sell me tickets...lol

FYI a suite for 18 people can be had for $1800. Yep, that's $100 per person.

This shouldn't be any more complex than the draft trip was once travel is taken care of. CAA Manitoba will be doing a tour package down there to make it super easy, but if people want to go a la carte to avoid supporting Glendale it would require only minimal extra effort. So, hands up. Who would be in for it? It would kick a** if we could have the Winnipeg Jets suite to ourselves. m.

Once again, every Joe Blow, Tom, Go Jets Go, and Harry with his dog had season tickets to the Jets (The building would have been sold out three times over). Everyone is an expert and knows better. Blah, blah, blah. The guy doesn't like Bettman and has valid reasons for it. Who are you to say someone is not entitled to feel that way?

I cant guarantee yet (soon hopefully) but like I said, the plan is to be in Vegas that week. I'd be interested in going in on the suite at that price for sure (me and buddy) if I confirm my Vegas trip ASAP.

As far as the poster talking about not blaming Bettman, I think we all realize that the economics were different in 1996, but that on top of the economic problems the Jets faced, Bettman not only did nothing to help the team but did indeed throw up road blocks to prevent Winnipeger's from saving the Jets. Would we have lost the Jets with a different commissioner? I would say quite likely, but who knows. More certainly could have been done to prevent a move anyways. Does it make sense to hold a grudge against the Coyotes? I don't know, does it have to make sense?! This is sports and passion people, it doesn't make sense really that we pay this much to see a game, or hug a stranger after a big goal or weep like little kids watching our team leave the city. No, this is sports and it's all about passion not logic. It's absolutely easy to hate Phoenix, and in this case there is absolutely no mutual respect, I not only want to beat this team on the ice, I want this team to die and move elsewhere!

You could do it for a lot cheaper than what one travel groups is doing it for. Fly out of Grand Forks, stay at the Super 8. Get in a game of golf. And watch the Jets dismantle the lowly 'Yotes. That Phoenix team is not going to be very good.....their starting goaltender will be Mike Smith next season....

I would not be surprised if Phoenix is close to a lottery pick after this upcoming season.
