I'm not gonna actually try to tell you guys what to do or not to do...
But may I suggest a trip to Florida or somewhere like that? I just hate the idea of supporting Scruggs and her merry band of idiots. Personally I've refused several offers to stay there for free in a condo... I'm far from rich but it would be over my dead body before I ever gave a penny to Arizona!

I don't think the $80 dollars that ten Jets fans might inject into the franchise is really going to affect the situation down there.
Also, I've let go of my anger. I'm not a Glendale resident, and I have my NHL team. They made their bed, they can lie in it. I bear them no ill will anymore.

agreed with Steenager...who cares about Glendale...why worry about what's happening with them...everyone and their dog knows there is no way they will be there longer then the next year or two...they did nothing to us...in fact, we got a MUCH better team out of it because of their stupidity! so we should be thanking them!!

If I could figure out how to leave the wife behind so I could actually enjoy myself, I'd go in a heartbeat.

If I was a local travel agency I would totally setup some special packages for Winnipeg to Phoenix which included game tickets.
I seen one the other day for Jets vs Wild tickets.
Believe it was one of those bus trips that happen frequently to the Minnesota Vikings games and outlet shopping.

They get enough of it through revenue sharing.

I understand what your saying, but if the Coyotes are attracting a few hundred (and in recent years it has actually been thousands) of out of town fans from Canadian cities for 5-10 games a year, it actually does start to make a pretty big difference. It certainly helps Scruggs' arguement that there is an economic impact from losing the Coyotes, as you lose ticket sales but more importantly if there are this many people there for the game, there's probably some shopping, dining etc going on. Again, I'm not gonna turn into a crazy lunatic screaming from a soapbox telling you how to live your life, but personally I hate the idea of helping to prop up the Coyotes. And honestly, my hatred for the team hasn't diminished much if at all. It doesn't have to make sense even, I just wish nothing but the worst for the Coyotes!

That plus the only thing I'll be doing in Glendale itself is pay $20 to go to the actual game (likely off a scalper trying to desperately get rid of his tickets). All my other activities will be in Phoenix/Scottsdale anyway. To me, saying you won't go to Glendale cause of Scruggsy is like saying you won't go to the US cause George W is president (at the time). We're all just a drop in the bucket. And if you want to go and have a good time and rub it in the Yotes faces a bit; just do it! All the Go Jets Go chants in that building drowning out the Yotes fans will be epic!

I proposed this in another thread: returnofthejets.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ROTJ&action=display&thread=15839&page=1And it went over like cold cakes. And I don't get it - the only Jets game in Phoenix this year is their home opener, and I bet that game will sell out, so whether it's us in those seats or someone else makes no difference to the bottom line. At least if it's us in the seats we can make sure no more money goes to the Coyotes by not buying any concessions. Game only - and get the ticket from a re-seller so it's $$$ that the team already has. Get hotel outside Glendale, dine in Chandler or Scottsdale, use the plentiful free parking, and we'll be providing NO economic benefit Glendale. Two more points: 1. The team is owned by the league. 1/30 of our 'support' goes to True North. 2. We get to enjoy seeing our Jets play! No matter the circumstances, who would turn down that opportunity? Finally, if, on the odd chance there's a history hand-off (slim to none but...) I'd love to be there for it. Go Jets Go! m.

I'm not saying you guys shouldn't go and "rock out with your cocks out", I'm just saying I won't be going because I don't want to give Glendale my money if I have any say in the matter. Please make sure you take advantage of every single penny pinching cent you can save on the tickets, though. Haggle the scalpers down to less than $10.

I think it makes a good rivalry now. Now that the Jets are back, I am kind of torn...if they move to Quebec (which seems like a good possibility) I don't think I will be able to hate them as much as I do now. The rivalry will be gone. And I really kind of like the idea of 100 of us making more noise than the rest of the building.... I was planning on going to either Florida or Phoenix, as well....but I am torn. Leaning towards Florida because I can catch them in Tampa and Miami.

Even if Winnipeggers pumped a million in to one game they'd still be short $39 million.

I think Mr Thomson and Mr Chipman paid enough this year to help prop up the Coyotes, why in the world would you pay any money to help support that franchise. Now if someone gave you free tickets then that's OK in my books, but bring your own beer and popcorn. Death to that franchise, a long, slow, painful, death, that the Glendale taxpayers will never forget.
Pucken rights I hold a grudge!!!

If anyone wants to see the game, but don't want to give Glendale any of your cash, you could do the following: - Stay in a hotel outside of Glendale. - If you rent a car, make sure you rent it from outside Glendale. - Buy your Coyote tickets off Stubhub, so that the team doesn't make an additional sale. - Before and after the game, go to a bar or restaurant outside of Glendale. - The most difficult part of this plan, don't buy beer at the game.

So much anger from so many people. In a couple of years from now there will be hockey in Winnipeg and not in AZ. Between now and then who really gives a rip. We should all just be thanksful that we got Atlanta and not the Coyotes. I'm not even sure what grudge you're holding onto?
