Please no Nickelback. If we absolutely have to, then please let it be one of their earlier songs. They get worse and worse with each album. I know i'm not alone on this, one of the worst bands in Canadian history.

We got the Jets name back, lets leave all the other old alone. No jump, no Jen hanson, No Curt Keilback. These were all icons back in the 80's and 90's, but were not there any more. Let's get some new frsh stuff with our new team. 80's music sucked.

I like the idea of having 'Jump' for one or two retro nights a year but that's it.

He is the voice of the Jets, and is far better than anyone who ever tried to call a hockey game in Manitoba.

I still like the idea of an air traffic controller, followed by a fly by and after that the crowd will be sofaking loud that they could play this and no one would here it anyway! www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Wv3Ya9nskA

Re: AC/DC - Every song since Back in Black has sounded the same. However, as a rhythm section, they are incomparable - they are super tight, what musicians would call "in the pocket". Perhaps one might not like their music (that's totally fine), but what they do, they do it very, very well. So, as musicianship involves more than a single thing, in that very particular way, they are very good. So that's my quasi-defense of AC/DC.
I have no defense for Nickelback, other than they're really nice guys who really help out younger/newer Canadian acts.

honestly, I like Metalica and bands like that, but I don't think they do the trick for intro songs. I think an intro song should send shiver down ppl's spines when they listen to it. You have to imagine epic crowd noise along with it. Bands like U2 (see Canucks) and Cold Play (see Habs) do the trick. I'm not saying to copy those teams... but I'm saying to find a similar song to those teams to create a similar vibe in the atmosphere!

Keilback.....MUST be the play by play....not becasue of nostagia....but because he's simply one of the best play by play guys in North America...

Haven't heard Keiback's voice in a long time but it is still crystal clear in my head. Unforgettable play by play....simply the best. A remix of this tune for team intro would be sick... www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHgvChCghNc

I highly doubt that. AC/DC freaking rocks. Sorry if you guys all need soft music by some poetic freaky deaky people... Millions in ACDC albums sold speak differently! Rock on boys (PS: ACDC still sells more albums than half of the no talent, new-age bums pumping out new music) x2 ......and just a little tidbit o info: 200 million albums sold worldwide - and - Back in Black has sold an estimated 49 million units worldwide, making it the highest-selling album by any band and the second-highest-selling album in history, behind Thriller by Michael Jackson.....but ya....they have no talent thats super but album sales and talent are mutually exclusive.. see milli vanilli or the spice girls.

Catchy songwriting is a talent. And for Milli Vanilli, SOMEone sang the songs.

U2 really? That's the most mellow intro out there. I hate the Canucks intro. That said I agree that Jump has had it's day in the limelight. Time to move on.
Ultimately the crowd won't need much. Dim the lights, we'll take care of the rest.
