"It would be a shame if they moved," Peverley said. "I think that situation with the organization can be resolved. If you only make the playoffs one out of ten years it’s obviously tough. With the ownership the situation of going to court for five years it really hampers the organization. What the NHL did for Phoenix hopefully they’ll do the same thing for Atlanta because I think it’s a market that could definitely work.
“Some guys say it didn’t bother them at all and during the season you don’t think about it because you’re not going anywhere. But some of the guys in the offseason, it’s in the back of their minds, and especially so for guys that have really planted roots there and have homes. I think that is something [Thrashers] players really do think about it.” www.csnne.com/05/13/11/Morning-Skate-513-Peverley-wants-Thrashe/landing_bruins.html?blockID=522243&feedID=4945I have to wonder if part of the reason Peverley was traded at the deadline (despite being signed for another year) was because he didn't want to come to Winnipeg.

I think the reason he was traded at the deadline is that Boston desperately needed some more depth on offence, and that they were willing to give up some good players with upside in exchange. Not everything is a conspiracy.

If Boston makes the final, a big part of the reason will be the balance to their attack that the addition of Kelly and Peverley have given to the team by lining up alongside Ryder. Peverley has helped give the Bruins four scoring lines, and Mark Stuart has given Atlanta defensive depth with Blake wheeler serving as a diamond in the rough. It was a good trade for both teams, and one that puts Boston into the final four. No conspiracy.
