CALLING ALL CITIZENS OF SMASHVILLE – Preds Want the Seventh Man to be Loud and Proud Support the Preds tonight in Game Six vs. Chicago, 8 p.m. at Bridgestone Arena Monday, 04.26.2010 / 10:43 AM / News By Press Release - Nashville Predators
Nashville, Tenn. (April 26, 2010) – It’s Stanley Cup Playoff time in Smashville! Tonight’s Game Six is poised to be the most critical and defining game of the season and the Nashville Predators aren’t taking any chances. They are calling on all residents of Smashville to be loud and proud tonight at Bridgestone Arena.
The Nashville Predators need the citizens of Smashville to be their “Seventh Man” tonight, lifting the roof off Bridgestone Arena and continuing to make the Predators lair loud and imposing – an atmosphere that made all the difference in the Predators big win last Tuesday night.
“The fans have been instrumental in getting us here,” Goaltender Pekka Rinne said of the Nashville fans. “They really are the ‘Seventh Man’ and have pumped up all of us, especially me. The moment that really struck me was right before we came out on the ice in Game Three. The video was playing, the crowd was on their feet, and everyone had their rally towels going. It was deafening in there and that’s when I knew Nashville was behind us, 100 percent.”
“There’s nothing like the roar of the fans as the Preds take the ice,” Nashville Predators Chairman Tom Cigarran said. “The noise is deafening and totally exhilarating. Come out and support the Preds and make Bridgestone Arena the loudest, most intimidating Arena in the NHL. We need the fans to become our ‘Seventh Man!’”
In response to the available tickets for Game Six, and the significance of the event for Bridgestone Arena, Bridgestone America’s Tire Operations has stepped up and purchased 500 tickets for their employees to show support for the team and allow their employees to enjoy a great night of Stanley Cup Playoff hockey.
Ticket prices start as low as $29 and may be purchased online at nashvillepredators.com and ticketmaster.com, at the Bridgestone Arena box office, all Ticketmaster outlets or by calling (615) 770-PUCK.

While the Predators are down 3-2 in their series with the Blackhawks, they certainly aren’t out. It’s Game Six and anything can happen – don’t miss out on the action tonight at Bridgestone Arena at 8 p.m. If an additional game is necessary to complete the best-of-seven series, play will resume in Chicago for a Game Seven on Wednesday, April 28.
