Bombers release Shabazz

Winnipeg Blue bombers have released linebacker Sideeq Shabazz. Shabazz was one of the teams leading tacklers in 2009, but the Bombers believe they can replace him with one of their newly signed players.

Meanwhile, the Bombers have signed another new wide receiver. Terrence Jeffers-Harris is 6-2, 220, and a graduate of the U. of Connecticut.

Count Milt Stegall among those who thinks the Blue bombers signing of q.b. Buck Pierce was a good move...roll....end cue"lot to this team"

Bad move in my books. This guy was awesome prior to getting hurt, played hurt most of the season.

Agreed. He was a solid piece to a decent defense last year. I'm guessing it was a salary dump to make room for Pierce.

Save a buck to make room for Buck.
