How can we build a first class facility for 135 million when every other outdoor facility in north america costs at least 250 million and up? Please don't build something second rate or that looks like crap when expanded for the Grey Cup assuming it can be expanded to host a Grey Cup. And please don't build something that only holds 30,000, should be a minimum of 35,000 IMO.

Also, the stadiums in the states holds 60 M plus... bigger... more money to build... blah blah blah

and it will come with a soft dome to cover the field, making it a year round facility. its no surprise that the bombers best years were when we had an NHL team. now we are closer to that and the stadium is getting done......ok...lol.....i just added that.

MLS is trying to put more teams into Canada. Would you guys embrace a MLS team for the 2012 season?

Some people in the CBC posting section don't like the fact that it will not be used all year around. I agree. Asper should have pushed for a inflated roof (not just covering) like in BC Place.

MLS is trying to put more teams into Canada. Would you guys embrace a MLS team for the 2012 season? Nope not me, it'll never happen, pipe dream, stadium would be too BIG,no upper deck to curtain off, tickets would be $500,they would want real grass and I like the fake stuff for my football team,no tax $$$ for a team we dont need/want and will be gone in 1 year at best,Winnipeg is a wholesale City BLAH-BLAH-BLAH!!! LMAO! I would never go to a game, even if u stuck me in suite ,but if ppl thought they could make it work, give it a go,as long as they can support themselves.

I think i might like soccer if i had a team to cheer for.
p.s. It will be sunken, they are saving money by digging down into the ground for a good portion of the bowl

As someone who hasn't followed this story at all, is this still the "scaled down" stadium that is planning on being built?

The thing is with this is the stadium will be great. One thing that people aren't considering is when you build on land you mostly pay for the land. Other cities land is at least twice of what ours would be, so there is that difference in price. I have faith they will do a wonderful job and we will have a beautiful building to be proud of.
