I was there for lunch to check it out and they were organizing a beer pong tournament. This is exactly why I'll never go there and why I hate most sports bars in general. Dumbass jock frat boy stuff If I'm going for a drink downtown, it'll be at the Albert or the King's Head, and that's about it.

Fidelastro: You sound like your 80.... Also; Watch the swearing. I mean it. I'm not 80. There are a lot of people who have a strong distaste for the club kind of scene. Doesn't mean we're senior citizens. The swearing gets censored to "Go Jets Go" all the time anyway, so I'm not sure why it's a problem.

I agree To many clubs with too many idiots listening to crap music in winnipeg as it is. a Theatre would be lovely or, I like the Hall of fame idea. something classy and fun. it's such a wonderful old building(used to be anyway) I would love to see it restored. last movie I saw there was when my dad took me to Indiana Jones and the Temple of doom. Fun times

What had excited me was the prospect is WAS going to be the "Canadian Rock'N'Roll Hall Of Fame"....this would have been amazing but, I belive that plan was dropped...why I have no idea?

Well if Toronto did beat us out I think the idea from Wheeler (Power97) for a James Bond Museum (Mix-venue) would be awesome at the Met. His idea stems from the fact that Sir William Stephenson (the spy that inspired Ian Fleming to create James Bond) was born in Winnipeg. I personally think this would be a great idea if we can't build the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame

they could still build a Manitoba music museum/performance space in there. There are hundreds of incredible bands and musicians from Winnipeg that a majority of people don't know about. A museum dedicated to Manitoban musicians might respark interest in the local music scene. Perhaps some people would go there, see the great stuff that's been/being made locally and decide to go out to a place like Times Changed or the Albert the next weekend instead of Whiskey Dix or whatever.

I like to see the Met turned into something like Flame Central in Calgary. A rock'n sports bar where you watch the games on a theatre sized screen.

The first time I heard it was going to be a "Rock & Roll destination center", I assumed it would be something similar to a Hard Rock Cafe.

But I think it would be expensive to purchase the original items, to display in the museum. How about a James Bond theme restaurant, lounge. Bonds girls and Bond villians as servers. Bond cars replicated as dinner booths. Bond theme menu items. (And before anybody says anything, Bond killers on display will not include GWI)

Regarding Times Change(d) SSShhhhhh....... Please don't let people know it's, like, the best place ever.
