Yesterday's game against the Swiss was awesome. Sidney Crosby is unbelievable.
During the game Pierre Maguire once again stated that Winnipeg should have an NHL team. He also said hockey matters in Winnipeg.
Gord Miller added to that by saying he had talked with NHL GMs and said that they were awe struck at the amount of hockey fans showing up for exhibition games.
Thanks to Darren, this campaign and common sense everyone knows we are one of the greatest hockey cities in the world. We just need to wait for the CBA to be negotiated and then the Jets talk will explode. Can't wait till that happens. Go Jets Go!!!!

Thanks for answering my question before I asked it....
I was wondering what was said on TSN last night.
Any other comments worth posting from the commentators?
On Monday I went to the game and taped it too. Then I came home and watched it again.
I was at the game last night too, but I forgot to tape it..

I missed most of the first period so Pierre Maguire and Gord Miller might have said some more things about Winnipeg.

I watched the game last night, from my home here in Calgary. The support that the people of Winnipeg have shown for Canada's team is outstanding. People in Winnipeg should be very proud of themselves for this.

I believe that Pierre McGuire on TSN said that the NHL should still be in Winnipeg early in the third period during yesterday's game. That was awesome to hear!
By the way, is anybody going to the WJHC games in Grand Forks? I just picked up Semi Final tickets (believe it or not, there are still some left). The early game (Semifinal B2 I believe at 3:38 PM) is when Canada would play if they made the semi's. You can purchase tickets at

Post if your going, maybe we can all get together before hand. I'll be the one in the Dr. Seuss type Canada hat. Post here if your interested.

I'm going to two games, both of them now being in Theif River Falls. I gave up my USA vs. Suisse tickets to go see Finland vs. Slovakia. So now I see Finland vs. Slovakia and Russia vs. Belarus! ;D Go Ovechkin!
