True North on top of many other tax concessions gets to keep the 10% Entertainment tax charged on all tickets. Do the math on that alone and then tell me it is a Privately funded arena. On paper maybe but the mortgage is being paid with our tax dollars. In my opinion with control of the arena and our tax dollars True North has a duty to bring us an NHL team sooner and not later.

From my understanding; The Building has been paid for in full already.

Pollstar is the company which puts out these rankings. I searched their site, briefly, but could not easily find these rankings. But they are the ones who publish the listings. www.pollstar.com

the MTS Centre and routinely placed higher than the Excel Center. A good chunk of this is because arena concerts in the Twin Cities are split between there and the Target Center.
I really can't believe how quick some people are to Go Jets Go all over anything positive related to this arena. It's brought shows here that never would have come before, that is undeniable. I think it was well worth the public investment considering what they've gotten back in taxes and social benefits.
