sorry im really off topic now....the bottom line is if youre not willing to invest $270.00 or anything for that matter, are you really going to buy tickets to the games season/individual?? show youre level of committment before you ask for a team. show that you want the nhl enough that youll spend what you would by taking a family of 5 to one jets game at the time they left the league and put it towards placing a team here. ticket prices are too high then youve done your part and deserve the opportunity to watch them on cbc. if not then nut up and dont talk about bringing the jets back. ive put up with hearing about you guys for 13 years...people who want the jets back but arent willing to do anything to bring them back...would you really go to games? or do you just liek the idea of having a team? its a business and needs to make money some way. aggrevating.

at least i dont pretend to care about things in a world that is dangerously over-populated and going downhill because people want to save people and kill us all in the process. you probably dont agree with me that god doesnt exist and that religion was invented to control the masses in a massive fear-ad. all panhandlers should be forced into getting jobs, a forced class in being a contributing member of society but these bums on the street that dont care to help themselves should not be helped, they can stick to booze and crack until they die off. I know I'm a mod here or in charge of the ROTJ campaign or anything, but it seems to me these aren't the kinds of statements that a) will win you many friends or b) reflect well on the ROTJ movement in general. Just my $0.02... anyone?

What business? There isn't a business. There is not an NHL team in Winnipeg. I'm lined up for a pair of seasons if that business comes to Winnipeg (if an NHL team comes tomorrow, I'll have my seasons in my hand by the weekend, can you say the same thing honestly?), I certainly don't need to pledge a measly $126.00 towards some piddly campaign. However, to bring that business to Winnipeg is going to take a lot more than a group of average, hardworking citizens pledging $126.00 each.
The NHL is entertainment, not a necessary. Winnipeg has shown it can survive and thrive without the NHL in its city, the city didn't roll over and die. Of course Winnipeg with the NHL is better than without, but if the NHL doesn't come, it will continue to survive and thrive, whether you want to admit it or not. If that source of entertainment comes back, I'll support it as I would have personal gain from the experience. I sure as hell will not give money to those privileged with hundreds of millions in their account so they can continue to build on their wealth without so much as a guarantee/promise to bring a team here.
When the big boys have stepped, so will I. At this point, we don't have a team/business to support, they haven't stepped up. When they step up with their hundreds of millions for financial gain, I will step up with my thousands every year for personal gain.

These are only half of the statements you make that I find offensive - I hope there aren't many ROTJ members that feel the same way: shame on you buddy. i'll be blunt. i do not support charity that helps the homeless or sick. i don't believe in it simply on principal [sic]. I don't care about helping people who are "in need" 262.50 is not a lot of money to anyone. Even if you work part-time one week of the year you'd be able to make that (and also help the economy just by working). People like you are not trying hard enough. Those that can't afford should work harder, and honestly who cares about them anyway. [sic] I agree and this guy should be immediately removed from posting on this forum. I find this very offensive. Food comes b4 entertainment kid.

Thanks to everyone for being polite enough to keep religon out of it especially when it has nothing to do with the subject at hand. Im a very religous person but I dont recall ever trying to shove my beliefs down anyones throat. Good riddens.

domi20 said he was a University student? They don't teach paragraphs in University anymore?
I couldn't even read his uneducated nonsense because of the formatting alone.
Plus, if you're still reading this (and I'm pretty sure you are), you can still be a capital-C Capitalist and have a heart, you know. They aren't mutually exclusive philosophies. One day you'll grow up and realize that. If you don't, you'll fail - in business AND life.
