To earn extra revenue in the playoffs how bout we have kiosks outside the arena to sell white t-shirts and encourage the fans that they "must wear white" in case some forgot to bring one to the game! Probably not a huge money grabber but an idea nonetheless!!

Encourage? I'm sure Winnipeg crowds need no encouragement for a white-out, lol... But I'm all for this, although I'm not too sure how many would be sold, seeing as almost everyone has a white shirt...

All the stores at Polo Park used to do this, so it must have been worth it, even though, yeah, you'd think everyone would already have a white shirt to wear. I don't know where we'd put these kiosks, but I'm for this!

what if they sold white t-shirts with our playoff motto on it?!? Don't teams usually choose a saying when entering the playoffs like "We Believe" or "Sacrifice"?!? and the Jets should be "Back 'n Kickin'"

I concur: I used to park at one end of Polo, walk through the mall ( even during our playoff stints ) and don't ever remember seeing Kiosks set up to sell "White" shirts for fans to wear! People like me raided their closets to find white gear & didn't have to be "encouraged" to do so. Perhaps Brent, you're mistaken and have been to Pittsburgh or, Nashville..........

There weren't kiosks per se... Polo Park stores would have a rack each of random white shirts sitting just outside their mall entrance. Maybe it's a stretch to say EVERY store, but I remember my family being surprised that the stores were doing this. Who wouldn't know to wear white to the games?? The only year I would've been in PP around playoff time was '96, so if you're sure that wasn't happening then, and I'm on crack, then I guess I have it mistaken for the '99 WJHCs.

Why not get a sponsor, say like "Tim Hortons" who sponsors the T shirt and they give them out free. Seems to be the way most teams do this? Team makes the sponsorship $$$, people wear the shirts later to show the sponsor's name?
The bad thing is when a sponsor gives hats and a hat trick happens. I went to a NHL game and John Deere has a large sponsorship deal with the team and they gave away 18K hats and a player got a hat trick. Needless to say, Green JD hats rained down on the ice when that happened and 17K people did not leave with the hats.
But it made the national news in both countries so the sponsor got a lot of national exposure.
