I had made a poll similar to this but I was just wondering what some of you thought know after getting these big free agent signings. I think the Yankees and Red Sox are getting older and our just playing out there careers. The Blue Jays have a young hungry team that is fighting to become world series champs. There heart and desire will eventually lead them to a wild card birth next season.

Toronto will do better this year than the past few years. Hopefully if this team goes injury free for most of the season, they'll end up playing in the fall.

Halliday survives until September for once: Jays win the AL East. Halliday pulls another disappearing act in July: Same old, same old.

The third baseman from Anola, Man., was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers for minor-league pitcher Brian Wolfe late Friday night, easing the glut of corner infielders in Toronto.
They didn't even get a good player in return unless they were just dumping salary.

Oh God do I hope they contend this year. The last decade has been simply painfull. I love the jays. It pained me to see all the Bo sox/ Yankee fans, sorry not fans but bandwagon jumpers. I love the jays, there is nothing better than going camping with a fire and listining to the jays game in the summer time on 1570am. They will be in tuff though, same division as the yank, B.Sox, and Oriels. Lets hope though. Pluss I hope to see more fans in the seats its a little dissapointing seeing all those blue seats with out a Fat Torontonians asss in it.

Thats because Toronto is simply to much in Love with the leafs. Just like KC is so much in love with the Chiefs. Most people dedicate there hard earned money on one team that they like. In Canada the majority will pay to see hockey games first, as opposed to Americans were every other sport comes first then Hockey. Does everyone remember the US T.V. ratings a couple years ago were Bowling was more watched than Hockey in the states. Very very sad.

Sad because the Laffs have been a joke for decades whereas the Jays have won championships in most paying fans' lifetimes. Plus, it's cheaper to see the Jays than the Laffs.

You could put any beer league shinny team in to play for the leafs and they would sell out every night. But if the jays arnt the divisinal leaders no one cares. Even this year when they were really in the hunt for a while late in August the attendance was dismal. Even here in "the Peg" in the early 90's when the jays were Series champs every one was wearing jays gear. Now its a real rarity. Look at the jays section in River city. Maybe a hat and if your lucky a T-shirt. Its more common now to see someone wearing a Twins or Cardinels jersey than a jays jersey. Hopefully this year things will change and the bandwagon jumpers will hop on.
