My first new "revenue source" idea in over year!
Just found this great idea from the Calgary Saddledome website.. read on!
"Over the past couple of months, minor hockey kids from all across the province have been testing their hockey skills in various areas. Minor hockey players from each zone will participate in their own skills challenge the morning of February 4th, with the top minor hockey players having the opportunity to compete against the Flames in the Danone SuperSkills Competition beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Skills for 2007 include the Puck Control Relay, Fastest Skater, Hardest Shot, Accuracy Shooting and the Breakaway Relay. Tickets to the Danone SuperSkills at the Pengrowth Saddledome are available at all Calgary Co-op locations for $8.00 (including GST) or Ticketmaster for $10.00 (plus GST, convenience charge and order processing fee) beginning January 6th.
All proceeds from the Danone SuperSkills will benefit the Flames Foundation for Life and the NHL's Goals & Dreams Foundation." _______________________________________________
Now wouldn't it be great if our new NHL team did something like this? And sure, the Flames donate all proceeds charity... but that doesn't mean our event will have to... maybe 50% of the profit we make could be donated to charity...
Regardless, it'd be money for our new NHL team.
Another great revenue source idea from BT!

Another great idea, that not only brings in revenue, but it encourages the participants to remain in Winnipeg
