Can't believe I didn't think of this before. Or perhaps I have, and forgotten... Anyways, we all know that all NHL teams have their own little "store" that link off their websites right? For example, the Dallas Stars: shop.nhl.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=1920296&clickid=mainnav_team_txtMinnesota Wild: shop.nhl.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=1919771Same exact setup for every team. And I'm not sure, but I think profits from these stores are split evenly among all NHL teams. Now then, we all know when the Jets were here, they had their own pro shop in St. Vital and Polo Park I believe. I can't recall the name of it at the moment. Of course, when we get a team back, our franchise owners will likely want to open up a couple of these shops in Winnipeg and maybe even Brandon, Thompson, The Pas, Portage La Prairie, or another Manitoba city. The Minnesota Wild have two stores that sell their merchandise in the Twin Cities area. The "Hockey Lodge". One location is at Xcel Energy Center, the other in the Mall of America. BUT they also have an online website that takes order from all all over the world. www.thehockeylodge.comWhy couldn't our new NHL franchise do the same? Sell Jets gear online to people WORLDWIDE, and best of all? Our team keeps 100% of the profit!

I remember reading something(cant remember where?),that any profits made from outside one's own arena are to split evenly among all all teams regarding souvenir's
The only place they may get 100% is from Jersey/souvenir sales in their own building, may have something to do with the NHLPA,not sure.

It is NHL.com Why in the world would we set up a shop in The Pas to do the exact same thing? So, to knock Mcguire for pointing out the obvious is absolutely uncalled for.

Isn't River City Sports still selling Jets-branded stuff? And aren't they located in Winnipeg? I imagine that if (no, when) Winnipeg obtains an NHL franchise again, this company would be at or near the front of the line in terms of running an official Jets store.

You know... I have a Jets "SPRING" time jacket.. that is in super good shape... I got it at the Jets Store in Polo. Lately, I have been looking into owning my own business... something that I would be good at and something that would keep me busy.. Owning a pro jets shop would be awesome... but really .. do we need to wait til there back.. would it not be a great idea to get it going... possibly help the team come back faster?
