aren't playing. Have a mini Jets League. Sign up fee's, merchandise supporting the casue...
A select few (8 players on the current Jets team) coach a particular team. Those teams play games for the championship.
Maybe have age groups... Just an idea that popped into my head. Not very well thought out but it can grow from here.

ahaha, I'm not surprized... I rea dthat and asked myself.. "what the hell?"
You know those 3 on 3 tournaments in baseketball they have for younger kids?
Well have a mini Jets league. The players from the Winnipeg Jets act as couches for 8 (Possibly way more than that.) different teams who play say 6-8 games each. Then enter the playoffs to determine who wins. The entry fee could be 50 dollars a head. 3-4 different leagues (sorted by age groups).
It would be held at a set location (community centre with multiple rinks), a merchandise area set up with promo items for the leagues, and other Jets merch...

Maybe half the profits could go to the Jets, the other half to some kind of youth hockey program...? The Jets charity of choice...? "Make a Wish" Foundation...?
