The Jets could have a magazine called something along the lines of "Jets Illustrated" and be available to anyone via their website or by sending a cheque or money order to a new Winnipeg NHL team. It could be published monthly or 6 times a year and also be available at the MTS Centre. I got the idea from the NY Islanders website: www.newyorkislanders.com/fanzone/islandersIllustrated.aspAnyone, ANYONE can buy a copy or order a subscription over the 'net, or send a cheque or money order to a new Winnipeg NHL team for an issue or subscription. I'm 100% sure profit would outweigh expenses for something this like. (Cue 'Apprentice' Theme) Money money moneyyy..... MAH-NEEEEE...... |

the montreal canadiens also have something similar and it is really good. they give alot of information on the team, rivalries, operations of the club and also an inside look on a more personal level into certain aspects of their ( players' )daily lives.
i feel that the content of the magazine should include that available on the pay website and at a higher cost ( due to collector possibility ) and with more content.

i was part of the jets fan club back in the early 90's and they used to send me a little magazine with some articles on prospects, current team events, etc. i dont know how long this went on for but i think i only have 2 magazines. im sure the new ones would be a lot better and more in depth. also, this could be another added bonus feature for season ticket holders. either they get a free subscription with purchase of season tickets or at least a good discount.

I was part of the Fan Club too and remember that newsletter. It was low on content, but I'm sure in the 21st century people would expect more. Especially considering some of the other NHL team guides/yearbooks/programs out there these days.
I like you idea about a free subscription or discount for season ticket holders. Yet another benefit of being a season-ticket holder.
Hopefully we'll have ambitious team owners that will implement ideas like this.

What about the Jets swim suite calendar girl...?? Featuring women hockey fans from the surrounding area of Winnipeg. There could be all kinds of bathing suits and outfits!!!
Can I be the model for the "jets mag"
I so want tooo.... it could be my claim to fame..

When i was young living in Nova Scotia is use to get a magazine with pics and articles about the teams in the wha. The Jets, Nords, Whalers, Oilers. Excellent pics in it. I wish i could remember the name of it so i could research it online.
Anyone out there remember it??
