I gotta say either have open stadium either in point douglas or at polo park.
However I am surprised that true north (manitoba moose) or the convention centre haven't met with the bombers in having a joint partnership in building a domed stadium (preferably retractable) by the convention. Just imagine the sort of conventions or mega exhibitions can be held there in the off season or even a big ticket hockey tournament ala WJC or jets playoffs.

I voted for the RREX site. Lots of land out there. Lots of room for parking. People can whip around the perimeter from all corners of the city as well as out of town.
I hate the current location. St.James Street is way too congested right now. On a regular day it can take half an hour to travel from Notre Dame to Portage Avenue. If you live in say Transcona, I honestly believe you would get home faster from the RREX site then you would from the Polo Park area.

i absolutely agree with those who say any new football stadium/major sports development should be located downtown, or as close as possible. parking issues be damned. i love my car, and in winnipeg took the bus maybe twice in ten years, but seeing the c-train in operation in calgary for a flames game was a sight to see. public transportation can work if planned properly, not to mention it's environmentally friendly, economical and safe. people should be walking around downtown anyway, and not just looking for their cars so they can escape back to the suburbs. winnipeg has a beautiful downtown with it's architecture and history. it will be a true shame if winnipeggers don't reclaim it. Thanks, Hawker. I concur entirely and I found it refreshing that someone agrees. (Maybe I am not as looney as I thought...) Well add me to the looney bin as well... downtown makes the best sense. Everyone heading downtown instead of forcing everyone to one side of the city. Plus downtown has sooooo many exit points... not like St. James or Empress. When I was at the first Moose game at the MTS centre... I parked in the parking lot across the street from the Pizza Hut on Donald. It took me 25 minutes to walk from the MTS Centre, get to my car and drive home to Westwood. Can't complain about that. If the Stadium stays in the same spot... I really hope they rework the traffic situation... or something. It takes 30 minutes just to get out of the parking lot at Polo Park.
