Hate the moose. In my opinion they are just vancouver's bit*h. No offense to anyone though. If you enjoy watching their hockey then keep on doing that but Winnipeg's pride has always been with the jets.

I don't think anyone expected the Moose to fill the void that the Jets left... but I find that they are a great appetizer until the main course arrives...

Why did they screw with the jerseys, these by far were superior to this years version! I agree with you DBP and also with GoMoose. The Moose really blew it when they changed from the jerseys they had last year which were one of the best looking in all of hockey. Just like the stupid changes made to NHL uniforms, the AHL teams were affected as well when Reebok became the supplier. There was no need to change the look of the jersey just because the supplier changed. I'm happy that some NHL teams like Montreal, Detroit, Chicago and the New York Rangers refused to make any dramatic changes to their uniforms. The Moose jerseys of the past few years had a traditional look about them even with the unique antler stylized numbers. I always thought that if our new NHL team couldn't be called the Winnipeg Jets, then Manitoba Moose would be a good alternative because of the uniforms and cool logo. I have changed my mind about that now that they have these new jerseys.

My buddy and I attended the Moose game last nite! I have a little digital camera and was taking some pictures of the game from far away somewhere like row 15. Took about 5 pictures. Our row was empty except for us. The usher came over and told me I was not allowed to take pictures of the game. When I asked him why not, he stated that it was the league and team policy. He went on to state that I could take pictures in between periods. I put my camera in my pocket but I seen many others taking pictures with cameras and cell phones during the game.
I have attended many NHL games throughout Canada and the USA and taken many pictures with no one ever telling me not to. Can someone tell what is up with the Moose and the AHL?

What was the reason you couldn't take pictures?? I would have reported that person ( who told you not to take pictures as that is NOT right )

He said it was against team and league policy! I think he was just being a knob! How old are you? I think that MAY have something to do with it........if you are much younger than he is, he might just be using that status of being a "patron" to lay down some authority just to make him feel like a bigger man. I would have told him to f**k off and taken a picture of his reaction! Next time that happens, come and get me. Sec 107, Row 16, Seat 15 or 16. I know alot of those guys/girls so...I'd love to find out who that was that said that to you. I don't think Chipman and the boys would appreciate that. They normally encourage you to take photos at a Moose game ( Look how many parents take pictures of the game & their kids playing during the intermission ) People bring cameras to hockey games & perhaps this guy was reading into the "Concert" policy where you CANNOT bring camera. A hockey game is a bit different..... Let me know!

He was the usher at 103. I was in the first seat in the last row to the left in 103. How do you post pictures? I will post one I took.

I went to that game and it was sold out, but the game lacked intensity from the players and the fans. I've been to 4 games this year and they've all been quite boring, I don't think I'll pay for another game until the playoffs start ( assuming we make it can't blow 3-0 leads).

Holy schnikeys...up 3-0 in the opening minutes, only to lose 5-3, in front of a sellout crowd no less. That is terrible. This Moose team has no heart.

Was there a reason for such a large crowd yesterday?
Ticket giveaway, some type of promotion?

Game was airing on MTS tv and to be aired on Leafs tv. This is part of the e-mail I got from the Moose.
A sold-out crowd of 15,000 will be on hand to watch the Manitoba Moose host the North Division's hottest team and primary affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Marlies, Saturday night! The game can be seen live on MTS-TV Channel 1 and will be re-broadcast nation-wide on Leafs TV Monday, February 18th
But I still can't see 15000 for that reason but who knows??

there was a lot of minor hockey teams there. I think they got their tickets for free or at a discount.

It was a good game today... it was estimated that 12000 would be there, but there were only 9000, but still a good game and turnout!!!

I'm optimistic about the Moose again this year, they've shown they can play with every team their only problem is they have some let downs for a few games at a time, otherwise they'd be right up there fighting for 1st with Toronto.
If they can stay healthy and Vancouver doesnt bleed us they should be poised to make another run.

Someone told me that MTS was celebrating 100 years in business this weekend and employees all got free tickets. Plus all downtown street crews got somekind of deal. This info. is unconfirmed.
