They're actually building a brand new terminal to the north of the existing one. Construction starts this spring. Winnipeg Airport Authority www.waa.caI've heard the new Airport Terminal will be ready in 2009.

I love the peg and I hope the city keeps on growing to the point where their is a expressway from lag all the way to rout 90! I love the Peg' even more, now that I havven't been there in over 5 weeks. Edmonton is not bad, but it is no Winnipeg. PS: We already have an expressway running from Lag to Rte. 90. It's called Bishop Grandin Blvd.

Bishop Grandin is not an expressway, who cares if Winnipeg has an expressway

So what if MB's population has grown!
How much of that population are actually PROFESSIONALS???
Not much.
This city is diluted with lower income earners and so on.
Like that's supposed to help the city.

Well, I guess if you're a millionaire and you can pretty much live anywhere you want, Winnipeg isn't the ideal destination.
I love Winnipeg but If I was quite wealthy, I'd seriously reconsider spending my life here...

I love Winnipeg but If I was quite wealthy, I'd seriously reconsider spending my life here... Your own personal wealth shouldn't affect whether you stay or go.....you should stay because this is your home and you love the city, want to see it succeed and want to help in that success. Just spend some time listening to people like Hartley Richardson, Sam Katz, etc.......they could live anywhere in the world, yet they choose to remain Winnipeggers. They are inspiring people to listen to if you ever have a chance to hear them speak about our city and their vision for the future.

I was at Hartley Richardson's cottage (cabin or camp whatever you want to call it) on lake of the woods on wednesday fixing his phone line. His cottage is probably about 4 times the size of a regular house and his 2 guest cottages are about double the size of a regular house. He was also getting tennis courts installed while we were there.

Our airport is in dire need of some renovation because it is OLD style since the 1970's. Please renovate it and make it fashionable and more attractive...the airport looks like an unemployeement office.

They are building a new terminal, the parking garage starts this summer and the new terminal should be finished by 2009
