Great market? ? Hello? ? Columbus is out dude. Don't worry, I've heard of the city and even went so far as to have GONE there, bud. However, I know a 'hockey town' when I see one and Columbus ain't it. Besides, we all want the Jets to be back, right? So, what do you care if Columbus stays or goes? Four years of last-place finishes, and the team still sells out more than 2 of evey 3 games. As someone who attended (I'm a season-ticket holder) a Thursday night sell-out against the Blawkhawks at the end of yet another dismal on-ice season (March of last year), I've got to ask --- what more does this market need to prove?

My brother was in Columbus for the World Cup exhibition, Canada vs US. I believe he said it was a sell out. But, there were a ton of Canadian fans. I was in Columbus for one of the World Cup exibition games and it wasn't quite sold out. However, I suspect that there 15-16,000 there with 20% being Canadians. It was nice to be there and seeing that caliber of hockey even though Canada lost. I reminded me on how much I miss the Jets. The NationWide Arena is gorgeous. I've been in the United Center in Chicago and the Nationwide Arena is way nicer. Nicer than the MTS Center too but not by much.

Personally, when the 4 teams were expanded into the NHL (Atlanta, Nashville, Columbus, Minnesota) Columbus was always my favourite. Me too, but because of their wicked jerseys. Something about blue and red....

Are you kidding?
The Wild have the best logo and jersey in the NHL, hands down. It's creative and simple. I love it.

Columbus is a great market in my eyes, only time will tell what kind of damage a prolonged lockout will have on this relatively new franchise. But if it helps them compete, they'll be fine on another note: Their jersey(3rd) could seriously double as Team USA hockey jerseys, but they do have a good color combo,

oh yeah, OHIO is a highly populated state that is in close proximity with Ontario. Although the Bluejackets are new, they aren't in a volatile market.

Columbus does not sell out every game. get your facts straight.
From TSN.ca:
The Jackets were 15th in the NHL in average attendance at 17,339 last season (95.6 per cent capacity).

A New NHL should minus the following: Columbus Nashville Phoenix Tampa Bay Florida Anahiem Pittsburgh Atlanta And then add the following: WINNIPEG!!!!! As suggested here, take Columbus off the list and replace them with Carolina.
