So we're stuck here holding our worn out hockey sticks, crying with the Molson and Nike commercials wishing that hockey would just come back! It's so frustrating that such a huge organization has so much problems coming to terms and getting the momentum back in the game. The game where we buy the merchandise, and tickets so these players can do what they do. Instead the players continue to side with the NHLPA and play in Europe making significantly less money they would with a salary cap in the NHL. Along with that the players drafted into the NHL this year are now having to go back to Safeway or McDonalds because they got the short end of the stick, also affected are the players in Europe who can't play because they prefer the NHL players making it there! Business are losing money especially in Canada. And then there is us in Winnipeg who long for the return of the Jets and all we have is Hockey to watch on television awaiting the anticipation for the return of hockey in our city one day. It's a childish argument and the NHL and NHLPA better get this straightened out. If not I'll and support the NHL on going bankrupt and getting something better going again. I don't support the Moose, I can't even make it through a whole game without getting board! The millions we spent in the MTS Center better make it worth our while with the return of the NHL.

The players union is a lot like the mafia in the sense that nobody but the upper echelon players matter to the boss. This could do one of 2 things:
1) Kill the union if there is no hockey for 1-2 years.
2) Stay the way it is and the union will strongarm their way to another big payday for Goodenow.
