I hate the blues... everything about them, their jerseys, their players, their logo, their stupid stupid name !!!!!! Yet they have been to a couple of Cup final with Bowman. How can you dislike them over their whole history, lately yes, but the rest Hull and Oates, it was great in the 80's

I have always felt that the Blue Note logo was one of the classier logos in the league. (Minnesota, Philly and LA's original crown design all being the better post expansion team logos.) As for the team itself, the Blues have always had a rock solid fanbase and one of the tougher, hardworking teams in the league. (Except for a few very notably bad eras...)
They also played in 3 consecutive Cup Finals under Bowman and have not missed the playoffs very many times in their history at all. While they have never won the big prize, they have been relatively successful for pretty well their entire run. I'm not a huge fan of the team but do respect them and their fans.

I think the Hull and Oates duo were made for each other. Imagine the numbers Hull would have posted if Oates hadn't been traded to the bruins.

Gretzky and Kurri, Lafleur and Lemaire, Bossy and Trotier, Hull & Oates. I would wait until both are retired and induct them into the HOF together. One of the greatest one-two punches in NHL history but also one of the greatest "coulda, woulda, shoulda" duos ever because they were separated way before their time had past.

I've been a minor BLues fan as long as I can remember. I don't know why, maybe because since I started watching hockey in the mid 70's they seemed like an underdog to me. I kind of lost some passion for them when they became a reckless spender, but look where that got them. I hope, and am sure they will remain in St. Louis.

St. Louis losing the Blues would be one of the biggest travesties in sports franchise relocation history, next to the Jets to Phoenix or the Browns to Baltimore. Being from Kansas City, I, by default, am not terribly fond of St. Louis, but even I have to admit, they *really* support their sports teams, and the Blues are no exception. Why would the Blues want to move from what has been consistently voted the best sports city in North America? Winnipeg deserves an NHL franchise more than anyone, but it should not be the Blues.

I agree. It would be a sad day if the Blues moved. I still remember St Louis supporting the NFL Cardinals, only to watch the owner pack up and leave for Arizona. Ironically, they would have fared better if the owner had left the team in St Louis, since the relocated Rams sellout all the time, while the Phoenix-based Cardinals play in front of thouosands of empty seats. Does this scenario sound familiar to anyone else....?

The Blues have a good attendance figures. The owner just got into stupid deals to finance the arena and the salaries of the players. The blues will not leave st louis (a city that loves their team) to come to winnipeg (a city who has shown great fan support in the playoffs). The amount of people that think this is going to happen is starting to get me worried. Has there been any speculation outside of winnipeg about us getting another team? I haven't seen any.

Did you actually read the thread? There was no talk of wanting the Blues here, that's almost like Saskatoon wanting them( Oh sorry that's been done before) to move there

They should have moved to Saskatoon when they had the chance.
To raise money they could auction off Tkachuk at a hog auction.

the new york times john davidson on msg. barry smellrose on espn during wjc on espn?it was one of the ongoing topics of disscusion. and apparantly the bring back the whale and the new bring back the nordiques movements got their inspiration from this movement.everyone in the hockey world knows we exist.
