hamilton is a good town.i've been there often and loved it every time.they deserve a team as much as we do ,but copps is a dump.that is what would stop them form getting a team.

No Hamilton dosent deserve a team as much as we do. I dont see Hamilton having a discusion board to bring an nhl team there. Itll cause way to many problems for the leafs and sabers.

Reasons why Ottawa got an NHL team instead of Hamilton, even though Ottawa only had a 10,000 seat arena at the time.
1. Hamilton quibbled over the 50M entrance fee to get into the NHL.
2. Toronto and Buffalo did NOT want the NHL to be in Hamilton AT ALL!
However Montreal did not mind Ottawa gaining a team.
Cheap cheap hamilton.... and we thought winnipeg was cheap! lol

Saturday, January 25, 2003 Sheila Copps loves the idea of moving the Ottawa Senators to Hamilton. That being said, TheScore is reporting that Copps Coliseum needs ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS to upgrade it to NHL standards I would love to see a team in Hamilton, but Sheila Copps is an idiot. Major work will be needed to Copps Coliseum to make it feasible to the NHL. This isn't 1985.
