Coming up on the 15 Anniversary I thought I would post the entire thing as it happened live on Videon TV. I cannot belive it's been 15 years....
On May 6, 1995, a "funeral" was held, where each player said goodbye to the fans. Unwilling to lose the team, a massive grassroots "Save Our Jets" campaign was mounted. On May 16th 55,000+ people attended a huge rally at the Forks. A fundraising effort eventually raised millions toward keeping the team afloat however, it just wasn't quite enough. The team would later move to Phoenix where they have yet, after 14 years in the NHL to really make an impact on the people of the city.
During the almost 200 min live video taken on this day; you'll see very interesting interviews with Sam Katz ( Now Winnipeg Mayor ), Mark Chipman ( Now Manitoba Moose Owner & Future Face Of The NHL In Winnipeg ), Past Winnipeg Jets, Fans, Etc.

Here Is the "Infamous" Winnipeg Jets VS Vancouver Canucks at the Pacific Coliseum February 9th, 1995. This was a game which saw over 220 Penalty minutes, non stop fighting & of course the massive hit put on Teemu Selanne from Mike Peca near the end of the first that set it all off. Enjoy,

WINNIPEG - These 3 videos are highlights courtesy of CBC Televsion for Game 6 of the 1st NHL Playoff Round in 1987. Winnipeg Jets would go on to defeat the Calgary flames 6-1, leading them to their last every series win in during their time in the NHL.
A Rookie Brett Hull skates for the Flames in this defeat & Winnipeg villain Mike Vernon is chased from the net early as the Jets blow 4 goals by him in the first period.
Daniel Berthiaume plays a spectacular game for the Jets while Reggie Lemelin comes in for Vernon and finishes the game as best anyone could under the rapid fire of the Jets.
Certainly one of the greatest moments in Winnipeg Jets history & soon to be repeated with out future NHL Franchise in Winnipeg. Enjoy the highlights,

OTTAWA: The following Part 2 Series are highlights from the Winnipeg Jets VS Ottawa Senators game back in November of 1995 from the Ottawa Civic Centre. The Winnipeg Jets would steal this game 3-1 after amazing goaltending by Nikolai Khabibulin. Don Beaupre also made some Highlight reel saves however; the offence of his Senators just couldn't seem to put more then 1 past Winnipeg.
