no fewer than three?  .... I think it would stand to reason that at any given time on any given team there are at least three players who would rather be playing for another team! but yes there is some truth to the housing market talk, we don't have 10 million dollar home type suburbs, but thats more the wives talking anyway!!! thick skin folks!.. thick skin. |

Hmmm...our corporate elite seem to have done just fine in living in Winnipeg and slumming it in $1 million - $5 million homes. I guarantee that whatever these fools can buy for $10 million in TO, they can get for a fraction of the price here. That should be a positive.
Rumours were Antropov didnt want to be here. One can presume perhaps that Bogo is on that list.

Who cares?! This is Toronto jealousy at it's finest. They are sooo bent that we got a team before they got a second team. Besides if you have 25 players on a team, at some point a couple are going to want out, expecially when relocation is involved.

Of course, now that the initial enthusiasm for Winnipeg getting a team is wearing off, we get the Toronto buzzkill/negativity.
I hate Toronto.
It longs to be considered a world-class international city, but unfortunately it can't because, unlike REAL world-class cities, it is entirely bland and extremely farty.
Here's something to be proud of, Toronto: you are the "creative" centre responsible for the most putrid, embarrassing television and advertising product in the entire world.
But at least you have lots of 10 million dollar homes for your piece of crap, talentless Leaf players to hole up in while bored out of their minds in Toronto.

Think of all the players that have publicly said good things about Winnipeg - a lot of them are very excited to play here, including all of our key pieces. We're not sure about Bogo, but all other key pieces are happy to be here.
Anyone that actually wants out (which, I'm not so sure it's even true), hasn't played a single game in a Jets uniform, or experienced the atmosphere that will happen in the MTS Centre.
Besides, all NHL teams have a a small amount of players that probably want to play elsewhere. But still, I'm not sure this is even true.

McCown doesn't think the possibility exists that EVERY TEAM IN THE LEAGUE HAS DISGRUNTLED PLAYERS?
The housing thing is such nonsense; the only part that rings true is that there isn't a large inventory of luxury homes available for rent.
Serious question.... when was the last time McCown was in Winnipeg? All these bashers "conveniently" hang onto the old perceptions and stereotypes of Winnipeg from 20 years ago. Newsflash: things have changed.

Honestly though if this is even true having 3 players that arent wanting to play here really isnt that bad, a lot of people were acting like our entire roster didnt want to be here. If they dont want to be here thats their problem.

It's the wives who want the sprawling estates - and Winnipeg has some amazing housing. The issue is that NONE of them are for sale or rent right now (on Wellington as an example). |
