I figured since theres no mods around anymore (at least until the awesome re-emergence of DF this morning) and its almost the end as it is, id start my own thread. I booked my trip to Winnipeg today!!

Get in town on the 7th, back to Columbus on the 10th. Anyone got an inside line on a ticket for me? Or at least the bar everyone who didnt get a ticket will be hanging out in?

4play. It is right across the arena but I bet it is going to be buuuuuuuusy. Would not be surprised if you have to buy a ticket to get in that day/night. www.4playsportsbar.com |

Hey that's awesome!! I am sure 4Play will be packed with people watching the game on TV. 4Play is the bar across the street from our arena!
Maybe somebody who knows somebody can make sure you get in knowing you're from Phoenix and were so helpful during the campaign!

Thanks for the heads up on 4play. I remember people on here talking about that place. Ill definitely check is out.
@tup im hoping someone can help out, even though it didnt end up being Phoenix I think alot of people got a lot of laughs over the pictures i took. Couple of months to work on it....im not going to worry just yet.....

i bet True North is working on some kind of public viewing for the first game on the 9th...might be the place to be! canad inns stadium? shaw park? The Forks maybe? only time will tell i suppose

I was the Coyotes insider, but things were turning bad at work, and i had to get out. So i took a job at a great hospital back in the Midwest and couldnt be happier about it.
I'll keep my eyes open for future announcements about a public viewing.

The food at 4play was SO BAD, I couldn't even believe it. I ordered wings, against the wishes of my friends who said "they're terrible." I said, "how bad could anyone f-ck up a chicken wing?"
Let me tell ya - to the point where I ate about two of them, and tossed the rest in the trash.

4Play *might* hang on just because of the Jets but really, many bars have come and gone at that location and are mismanaged right into closure.
It's a shame they didnt sell to TN, though I wonder if 4Play owns the building or are leasing it? I'd like to see TN buy the building out-right, ditch 4Play and put their own place in there. I believe that was the plan but now they are making due trying to squeeze a sports bar into the Longboat development.

Ally, I remember you talking about the home opener and I guess it's your choice, but any other game you probably would be able to get a ticket/be a guest of a member.
A few months ago we were discussing 4play's food and someone said they preferred BPs. Someone else said they must not have taste buds and their opinion on food was forever voided. I agreed that 4play didn't have good food. Where were all these people then? I'd like TN to open there own.

4Play is terrible. Worst food in the city, and the women server are average at best. I gotta say, i dont really care about the women, as long as they arent dumping food on me. But bad food isnt good. Maybe dinner elsewhere, then just drinks at 4play.... As for my season ticket in Phoenix, i just didnt renew it. They were not happy to lose me, but such is life. Couldnt commit to a full season in Columbus this season, as my new work schedule prevented it. But ive got 13 games, including Winnipeg on Nov 12th. I know it probably would have made more sense to come up for pretty much any game except the home opener, at least taking into consideration the possibility of getting a seat. But i put the stipulation out to some people in the spring of 09 that i would travel to Winnipeg whenever they got a team back, and i intend to hold true to that. So here i come.  |

Fourplay is good, just gotta know what to get... never had a problem with the Nachos or the fries and I went for each of the stanley cup finals games. The girls are so-so, but thats why you bring your own... Finally, the same 2 of us went to all the games so by the time we hit game 3, one of the managers who got to recognize us was standing in the back alley while we were waiting in line, and we asked him if he could get us in... He brought us right in threw the back kitchen door and got us a spot in the VIP booth upstairs. If you go hang out there this summer and become a regular, they might do you some favors trying to get in for the jets games. I wouldnt know though, ill be inside the MTS Centre in my seat |

Tavern United is just around the corner, and while there is like 6 of 'em in the city, it's not bad. I like it. The food is somewhat English themed, but I find it's way better than 4play.
